22298VIC Course in Basic Oxygen Administration
Overview
This course covers the outcomes required to recognise and respond to situations that require the application of basic oxygen therapy and/or oxygen resuscitation as appropriate until the arrival of medical assistance. This course is ideally suited for first responders.
Duration
4 hours of face to face training.
Entry Requirements
Students must have the physical ability to provide resuscitation by kneeling on the floor and performing two (2) minutes of uninterrupted CPR on an adult and infant manikin.
Students under the age of 18 years will be required to provide a signed parental consent form prior to attending the course. This form can be accessed by clicking here.

If you have a learning difficulty or other disability that makes it difficult for you to be assessed please notify the trainer, so another form of assessment may be used, and early assistance may be given.

There are no pre-requisites.
Assessment Requirements
Multiple choice theory questions and simulated practical scenarios.
Outcomes
On successful completion, participants will receive a nationally recognised statement of attainment in 22298VIC Basic Oxygen Administration and HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
