Dear Co -Providers ,

Further to our Validation session on Monday 30th I understand that there is some confusion in the industry regarding the HLTAID004 First Aid in education and care setting and the need for additional training in Asthma and Anaphylaxis.

Below is the link from ACECQA (Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority) that clearly states that with HLTAID004 you do not need to also offer the other two training programs.

http://files.acecqa.gov.au/files/Quals/20131024-ACECQA-approved-qualification-lists-first-aid-quals.pdf

Please note : this is only for Childcare and does not apply to Schools – in this case First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis are separate training programs.

Regarding cost structure per participant for HLTAID004 I would recommend you conduct some market research and ensure you do not price yourself out of the market. There will be some margin loss with this unit of competency.

Regards,

Beatrice
