Dear Co- Providers,

Further to our validation and industry consultation meeting on the 30th of June 2014, I have attached separate minutes for each session for your information. Links:

Report Summary – NFA – Industry Consultation – 30-06-2014 Final

Report Summary – NFA – Assessment Validation – 30-06-2014 Final

Please read them carefully as there were intentionally written with some detail to ensure that you are up to date and to minimise any misunderstandings and misinformation in the industry.

In addition, included in the validation minutes is an update on the transition process, clarification on 4 minutes of uninterrupted CPR, revised transition date of 31st October 2014 and much more.

For those who attended the sessions I thank you for your invaluable feedback, this was taken on board and changes to the training and assessment resources were made prior to uploading on the web.

The resources are now live on the web for your access.

NFA advises that you transition across to the new AID codes as soon as possible however ensuring that no participant is disadvantaged in the process.

NFA will accept assessment documentation for both HLTFA and HLTAID until 31st October 2014; this is in line with VRQA changes. After which HLTFA will no longer be accepted.

Please note that the HLTFA resources have been removed from the web.

Electronic copies are available on request.

In addition you will also note that both the Asthma and Anaphylaxis accredited courses are under review and new resources will be uploaded on the web shortly. A separate news report will be issued to explain this update and how it will impact on your training delivery.

If you have any questions, need clarification or guidance we are here to assist you.

You can call Gavin, Nikki or me.

I have also provided a link to the ACECQU Approved Qualification List send in the last communication, following feedback that some people were unable to open:
